INSTRUMENTS OF MERCY
Dear St. Anthony Bridges to Home Friends:
We walk by faith in this organization and are sustained by the Holy Spirit. A substantial benefit that we experience is that we become instruments of God’s mercy to others. Mercy is love that flows from the heart and embraces others. It “feels” others’ poverty as its own, with intent to assuage it. The heart of Jesus takes our misery and transforms it through his mercy. We are called to be his instruments of mercy as He sends us into the world to enter into the wounds of others, wherever we find ourselves and to whomever Christ sends us.Our work depends not only physical and spiritual means, but greatly on financial gifts as well. Thanks to all who have contributed so generously for these moves: Pat K., Pam, Barbara & Dan, Barbara M., Max & Marilyn, Robin, Thomas, Christine, Raquel, Marylyn, Kathy & Bob, Mary O., Aimee, Pat & Joe B., Bob M., Debbie & Ben, Jenny, Dee Anna, Mary D., Miranda, Jim N., and an anonymous donor. You profoundly communicate your faithfulness through your generous giving. I thank you for your sacrifices, your commitment, your compassion, and your love.
Let us pray: God be in my head, and in my understanding; God be in my eyes, and in my looking; God be in my mouth, and in my speaking; God be in my heart and in my revealing.
