Dear Bridges to Home Friends:
As we celebrate this beautiful and powerful feast of Pentecost, the readings for today cause us to pause and reflect. St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians speaks of the fruits of the Holy Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The definition of love means willing the good of other. This most especially as well as all of the fruits of the Spirit are what we strive to emanate thru Bridges to Home. They were the foundation of this program from its inception over 10 years ago, and they remain the guiding tenets behind everything we do and every decision we make in the organization. The peace and joy you feel after each move, the patience needed to be flexible (and oh, do we ever have to be flexible!), and kindness and gentleness with which we meet those we assist are the reward for those of you who invest much of your time, donate much of your treasure, and support the organization in so many ways. Your faithfulness and generosity know no bounds. The Holy Spirit inspires us each time we engage in these complete acts of mercy. He is our guiding beacon and will always lead us to devote ourselves to willing the good of other.
Please enjoy pictures from moves completed in the past months.
Love, faithfulness, and generosity are fruits of the Holy Spirit that you who support Bridges to Home financially radiate. Thank you for answering the plea for help from those in need. May you feel the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit in your lives abundantly: Susan S., Barbara & Dan, Jenny, Claire, Pat F., Friday Afternoon Club, Max & Marilyn, Robin C., Pam S., Christine F., Jim & Marse, Pat K., Cynthia C., Kathy & Bob, Ben & Viad, DeeAnn, Samuel W., Bob Mc., Barbara M., Peter & Joyce, Al P., Raquel, Bernard G., Carol & Bill, Lucy K., and an anonymous donor.
