There are over 50 verses in the Bible, many spoken by Jesus Himself, that convey a powerful message to us that we must live our faith by putting it into action. The most effective message is the one that is lived and fulfilled in action. Words can be profoundly spoken, but genuine love is shown through tangible action.
“But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth” 1 John 3:17-18
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father.” Matthew 5:16
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only….” James 1:22
“You will recognize them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16
Love is active, creative, daring. Jesus says our actions are a way to give God glory by actively connecting with other people's lives, all of whom have been placed in our lives for the specific purpose of showing them His love. Love is not only what we do but how we do it. The efforts you put into St. Anthony Bridges to Home add credibility to what is in your heart, and adds truth and value to the message. Your work is a testament and proclamation of your faith in God and His teachings that speaks louder than any verbal profession of your faith. It exceeds an intellectual concept and becomes a personal truth that engages both your heart and mind.
We witnessed conveyance of this message in the eyes of veterans Garland, William, Phillip, Bertram, Ebony, Robert, Dawn, Omar, Harvey, and Tim that what you did for them will always be the message of a God moment. -

Grateful thanks to Pam, Barbara & Dan, Gloria, Pat K., Kathy & Bob, Jenny, Carol S., Marilyn & Max, Mary O., Christine F., Robin, and Pat F. who faithfully live the message of God’s love, mercy, and hope for those we serve. Your actions inspire others, showing the light of God's presence through definitive acts of love and service. There can be no denying the message when our actions speak louder than any words we speak.

Please know that you do not have to possess any specific abilities to join our move teams. We have some who can lift the heavy objects as a team, those who can handle the lighter items, those who simply arrange kitchen drawers or cabinets, those who are there out of curiosity as to what we actually do, those who are there to meet the veterans where they are and simply be with them. Whatever your purpose for joining any of our teams, I assure you that you will be truly blessed and realize that we are as much in need of the connections we make with the clients as they are in need of us. So many of our volunteers say they cannot explain it but that “It’s a God thing.” So if you are wondering if you will fit on a move team, I am here to tell you “Yes, you definitely will.” There is a place for you. We are there by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and His purposes are always fulfilled when we seek His will.
