SERVING THE GOD IN OTHers
The Divine Presence within each one of us recognizes the Divine Presence in others, and calls us to serve them as we would serve God. The active expression of this concept arouses our empathy and motivates our call to action as we recognize the sacred in others . The abstract of serving the Divine becomes reality, particularly through mercy and compassion. Every act of compassion toward a person in need is an act of love and service toward Jesus himself. Seeing “the least of these” as people filled with the Divine Presence, the corporal works of mercy highlight the importance of fulfilling our faith in action.

Faith in action takes many forms, one of which is sharing our treasures in service to Our Lord.
